Longarm Quilting Services
Mad About Quilts offers longarm machine quilting services using an APQS Millenium Quilting machine. Our studio is a smoke-free, pet-free environment conveniently located close to both Boston, MA and Providence, RI. Whether you are new to quilting, prefer piecing to the quilting process, or are simply short on time, we are here to help. QUILTING FEES
Pricing is based on the size of your quilt top in square inches as follows: multiply length X width = square inches.
EDGE-TO-EDGE-all over continuous line pattern using a pantograph or freehand design.................................................. .015-.035/sq.in.
SEMI-CUSTOM-Edge-to-edge pantograph or freehand design in the body of the quilt with one separate border design.... .035-.042/sq.in.
FULL CUSTOM-Includes stitch-in-the-ditch, more complex free motion designs, feathers, cross-hatching, individual block motifs, multiple border designs.................................................... .042-.080/sq.in.
HEIRLOOM-Estimates provided upon request........... .080/sq.in. & up.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
BASTING-For hand quilters, 3-6 inches apart............ .007/sq.in.
BINDING-Customer supplies 1 yard of coordinating fabric

ADDITIONAL REPAIRS-Quilt tops will be quilted in the condition they are received. However, small repairs before quilting will usually yield a much better result. We offer a service fee of $20.00/hour for repairs needed to prepare your quilt top including those for loose stitches, gaps, etc.
Prices are for quilting services only. Wide Backs and Batting are available and pricing varies by size and type.
PREPARING YOUR QUILT-As quilters ourselves, we know how much time and energy you have spent on preparing your wonderful quilt tops, so for the best results, you need to prepare your quilt top for the long arm quilting process. Please follow these steps on Preparation before dropping off your quilt.
