Panels Make Great Quick Quilts

Ever need a quick quilt and no time to really design one? Try a panel next time as your starting point. I admit it, I have grown fond of panels in recent times. There are some wonderful ones out there, for most occasions, and they can be the starting point for your next quilt! From cute to formal, they are designed by wonderful artists with a color scheme that you can use as your fabric palette going forward. Checkout my quick quilt-just made for one of my wonderful niece's baby showers:
This panel is called Pound Hounds, from RJR Fabrics and was a great starting point for a baby quilt. Who doesn't love these adorable dogs? I added some colorful pieced borders, and quilted it up in no time. Let's face it, you don't always have time to piece and quilt a complicated masterpiece, but this bright quilt will be truly loved when the baby arrives, and isn't that what counts? Try it the next time you need something quick!
