Ricky Tims Seminar

I can't believe how beautiful it is out today! The weather is starting to get a bit cooler which helps motivate me to start quilting up some of the Christmas gifts I'm hoping to give out this Christmas.
I know I named this post Ricky Tims Seminar so I'll get to it. A couple of weeks ago, right when Hurricane Earl was just off the coast of Cape Cod, Ricky Tims had a seminar in Hyannis Ma on the Cape and I was lucky enough to go. I almost didn't go because of the hurricane but I am so glad that I did. At first I thought 3 days at a quilt seminar without doing any sewing? Am I going to be bored? Well the answer was NO!!!! Ricky Tims is a great speaker and kept everyone very interested the whole time. He gave out a very detailed syllabus with all the techniques in it that he was talking about and at the end we all couldn't wait to try them out. I even got to go up on stage with him and have some fun when he was demonstrating how ripping fabric is quicker than using a rotary cutter. I think it really is quicker, but it will take some getting used to. I did take a picture of Ricky with Alex Anderson and Libby Lehman who were also there and spoke at the seminar. And I also have one of me with Ricky.
If you ever have a chance to go to one of these seminars I highly recommend it!!
